To start making Senegalese twists, you’ll need to begin with clean and detangled hair. It’s best to use a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush to gently work out any knots or tangles, starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots. Once your hair is detangled, you can apply a leave-in conditioner or a styling product to help moisturize and define your hair.
Next, you’ll need to section your hair into small sections, depending on how many twists you want to create. For a full head of Senegalese twists, you’ll typically want to start with 4-6 sections of hair. Take one section of hair and divide it into three equal parts, just like you would for a regular braid.
